Hi, I’m Joseph Heaton — a stage manager with over 15 years of experience making live theater run smoothly (or at least look like it does). I’ve worked everywhere from storefront theaters to national Broadway tours, and I’ve learned more from doing the job than any classroom could offer. After taking every theater class my college had, I hit the road and never looked back. I call myself a “stage manager of the streets” because my training came from real-world experience, trial and error, and a lot of backstage problem-solving.

Whether I’m managing a crew, keeping the schedule on track, or sweeping the rehearsal floor, I believe stage management is equal parts leadership, logistics, and love for the craft.
